Council and commission members are appointed for 3-year terms by the CSWE president.     Commission on Global Education

    The Commission on Global Social Work Education works to further CSWE's global and international agenda, and maintain relationships with other international organizations, including the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), to promote international programs and projects and to develop the international dimension of the social work curricula.     This Commission on Professional Development supports the goals and mission of CSWE through coordinating the Annual Program Meeting, designing continuing education activities, managing publications, and developing a leadership institute to strengthen the delivery of social work education by classroom and field.
