The Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression (SOGE) Scholarship Award honors excellence in scholarship that contributes to knowledge about sexual orientation and gender expression, including individual and systemic issues, curriculum materials, faculty growth opportunities, and the experience of individuals who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and/or two-spirit.
The Council on Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression (CSOGE) is proud to announce the winners of the second annual Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression (SOGE) Scholarship Award: Lisa N. Langenderfer, N. Eugene Walls, Darren L. Whitfield, Samantha M. Brown (all of the University of Denver); and Cory M. Barrett (The GLBT Community Center of Colorado) for their research associated with the 2013 APM accepted paper presentation, Correlates of Partner Violence among Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Youth: Associations Among Risk Factors. The 2013 Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression (SOGE) Honorable Mention will be presented to M. Alex Wagaman (Virginia Commonwealth University) for her 2013 APM accepted paper presentation, Understanding Service Experiences of LGBTQ Young People Through an Intersectional Lens. The 2013 SOGE Scholarship Award winners and honorable mention awardee will be recognized at the LGBT Caucus/Council on Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression Reception.
