Meredith Eisenhart, MSW, Co-Director
Meredith received her MSW with a concentration in gerontology from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining the CSWE Gero-Ed Center, Meredith served as a Project Coordinator for the U.S Administration on Aging (AoA) through a contract with RTI International. At AoA, she helped to manage the Alzheimer’s Disease Demonstration Grants to States program. Meredith has also helped run a program for people with early stage memory loss at the St. Louis chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Meredith loves the field of aging and is actively involved in Tomorrow’s Leaders in Aging of Washington, DC.
Varya Gracheva, MA, Program Coordinator
Varya received her Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Washington. Varya brings to her position extensive experience in client relationships, logistics coordination, and office administration. As a student, she volunteered for several non-profit agencies, including work with the immigrant population at the Operational Emergency Center, a non-profit organization addressing the needs of low-income residents of King County, WA.
Megan Mills, Program Coordinator
Megan joined the CSWE Gero-Ed Center after spending two years as a teacher in Washington, DC. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, where she also received a minor in Educational Studies. She has interned for the web department of Education Week and has also spent time as a writing tutor, a reporter for her college newspaper, and a mentor for the Higher Achievement Program.
Suzanne St Peter, MSW, Co-Director
Suzanne has worked with Nancy Hooyman on Hartford-related projects since 2001. She managed the Geriatric Enrichment in Social Work Education (GeroRich) Program from 2001-2004, and has served as Co-Director of the CSWE Gero-Ed Center since its inception in 2004. She brings extensive project management experience, and a solid understanding of social work and gerontological issues. Suzanne received her MSW from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.
Kelsey Van Dyke, Program Assistant
Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies, with a secondary major in Spanish Language & Literature, from University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP). As an undergraduate, she was an active member of UMCP’s chapter of Alpha Phi Omega (the national co-ed service fraternity), a program assistant in the Department of Resident Life, and an undergraduate research assistant in the Department of Family Studies. After nearly two years of working in educational research and evaluation for a DC area federal contractor, Kelsey decided to pursue her dream of becoming a social worker and will be attending the University of Maryland School of Social Work to begin working toward her MSW in fall 2010.
