Curriculum Development Institute (CDI) Program

The Curriculum Development Institute (CDI) Program has funded nearly 120 social work education programs to infuse and sustain gerontological competencies within required BSW and MSW courses at the generalist practice level and within their organizational cultures.

A planned curricular and organizational change approach aims to provide faculty with the knowledge and skills to prepare all social work students with gero practice behaviors. National mentors, peer collaboration, and annual workshops are distinguishing characteristics of the CDI Program.
