Geraldine L. Meeks, PhD, MPA

Geraldine L. Meeks is the newly appointed director of the CSWE Minority Fellowship Program. Dr. Meeks was a Clinical Minority Fellow from 2004-2007 and completed her PhD at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Social Work. She has extensive experience in mental health counseling and program administration, as well as research and evaluation. Her dissertation research focused on the comparison of nonprofit human service providers that are faith-based to those with no religious affiliation. Dr. Meeks’ other research interests include health/economic disparities, supports for families with young children, and community capacity-building.
