Accurate and effective assessment of students’ professional competencies is crucial to the advancement of social work. This track invites proposals that facilitate continual development of tools for use in assessing students’ acquisition of the 10 CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards competencies. We welcome proposals that specify how competencies are measured through (1) delineation of measurable practice behaviors for specific competencies; (2) standardized tools and assessment procedures; (3) conceptual, theoretical, and practical issues in competency assessment; and (4) innovative development in competency assessment.
