Proposal Categories
The 2010 APM program will be developed through two types of proposal categories.
Summary of Requirements
Persons submitting a proposal do so with the understanding that they agree to abide by the conditions and policies in the Call for Proposals, as well as the decisions of CSWE’s Council on Conferences and Faculty Development and the proposal reviewers.
If your proposal is accepted, the submitted 50-word overview text will be used in the final program and the APM Presentation Archives Web site as a session description.
All accepted presenters must be current, paid CSWE members, or qualify for a membership waiver.
All CSWE membership waiver requests must be submitted through this online system.
- All accepted presenters must register for and attend the Annual Program Meeting.
- Failure to comply with membership and/or registration requirements by June 18, 2010, will result in removal from the APM Program.
- No presenter may be listed more than one time as the primary presenter and no presenter may be listed on more than three submissions total.
- All presenters must be available to present at any time during the 4–day conference. CSWE will not accept any special requests.
IMPORTANT: Each individual listed on a proposal is expected to be in attendance at APM and is responsible for obtaining individual membership in CSWE (or qualify for a membership waiver) and is expected to register for and attend the Annual Program Meeting. DO NOT list persons on a proposal who will NOT be in attendance as a presenter, or have not been informed of the requirements of presentation. This does not preclude adding other names to your final paper (when you submit it for publication in the future), but these names should not be included as presenters in the online system.
Proposal Evaluation Areas
Proposals will be reviewed for the following:
- Relevance of topic or study or enquiry to CSWE members
- Clarity of the written proposal or focus of enquiry
- Appropriateness of research method(s) and/or conceptual foundation
- Robustness of analytical and/or theoretical frame
- Significance for social work education, practice, research, policy or theory
