This Track focuses on areas of inter-professional and trans-disciplinary micro and macro practice, including collaborative initiatives among social workers and professionals from other disciplines to address micro and macro social issues, ethical dilemmas across professions, and examples of how innovative ideas from other disciplines are used to promote and advance social work practice and the profession. Presentations also focus on how trans-disciplinary research teams explore and examine social problems, target populations and practice interventions through an interdisciplinary lens, as well as how such teams make recommendations for social policy and practice. Conceptual papers also present overall lessons learned from trans-disciplinary collaborations, as well as delineate the processes and challenges involved in developing and implementing trans-disciplinary practice interventions and social service programs.
