As director of international programs at Florida State University, Pat Lager brought a well-rounded perspective to the panel that benefited anyone interested immigrant and global migrant issues. Lager has taught a number of social work courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including those pertaining to child welfare in Britain and the United States, international clinical practice, social work in the Caribbean, and international social work as a general specialty area. From her current role, she is also well versed in cultural competence issues regarding the home countries of immigrants and global migrants.
