Marla Berg-Weger, PhD, LCSW, is a professor, director, field educator, and a Gerontological Society of America Fellow. Berg-Weger has more than 30 years working in gerontological practice, medical social work, domestic violence, and mental health services. Widely published, she has focused on aging, family caregiving, and social work practice. She is a founding member of the St. Louis Consortium for Older Driver Education and Research, an interprofessional team focused on research and education in the area of older adult mobility and driving. Berg-Weger is a recent Association for Gerontology Education in Social Work president; a member of the Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education National Advisory Panel; chair, Executive Editorial Board of the Journal of Gerontological Social Work; coconvener, GSA Transportation Interest Group; cocoordinator, AGE SW Predissertation Initiative; Board member, ITNSt. Charles; and a volunteer with the St. Louis, MO Alzheimer’s Association.
