The Journal of Social Work Education (JSWE) is a refereed professional journal concerned with education in social work and social welfare. Its purpose is to serve as a forum for creative exchange on trends, innovations, and problems relevant to social work education at the undergraduate, master's, and postgraduate levels.
JSWE is published three times a year, in winter (January 15), spring/summer (May 15), and fall (September 15). The current editor-in-chief of JSWE is Lorraine M. Gutiérrez, University of Michigan. The 2010 impact factor for JSWE was 0.596; the journal ranked 23 among 39 social work journals (as classified in the 2010 Journal Citation Reports®, Thomson Reuters, 2011). JSWE is available in print or fully searchable electronic format as a benefit of CSWE membership or by subscription. Members who prefer not to receive print issues should contact esimon@cswe.org.
Nonmembers do not have access to full-text files, but may search articles by author, issue, or keyword and view abstracts. Article purchase is also available.
