The Journal of Social Work Education (JSWE) is a refereed professional journal concerned with education in social work and social welfare. Its purpose is to serve as a forum for creative exchange on trends, innovations, and problems relevant to social work education at the undergraduate, master's, and postgraduate levels.
JSWE is published quarterly by Routledge/Taylor & Francis and reaches an audience of approximately 3,500 individuals, subscribers, and social work programs. The current editor-in-chief of JSWE is Dr. Susan P. Robbins, University of Houston. The 2013 impact factor for JSWE was 0.439. JSWE is available in print or fully searchable electronic format as a benefit of CSWE membership or by subscription. CSWE members choose whether to purchase a print-on-demand subscription in addition to online access. Individuals who are not CSWE members do not have access to full-text files, but may search articles by author, issue, or keyword and view abstracts. Article purchase is also available.
Special Calls for Submissions
JSWE currently is welcoming submissions for a special issue, "Social Work 100 Years Post-Flexner: Where Are We Now, Where Are We Headed, What Has Been Gained, What Has Been Lost?".

Prospective authors may submit manuscripts to JSWE via the ScholarOne online submission system. Author guidelines are available to help with the submission process, and questions may be referred to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The JSWE Best Article awards recognize outstanding work published each year in the journal. The Best Article award winners and honorable mentions for volume year 48 are available for reading or free download from Taylor & Francis Online.
