JSWE’s consulting editors provide blinded reviews for the editor-in-chief for approximately 200 manuscripts received each year. Consulting editors are experienced scholars in social work education and related fields who can make studied judgments about manuscripts and provide helpful comments for authors. Consulting editors must be members of CSWE. Candidates for consulting editor are recommended by the editor-in-chief and the JSWE Editorial Advisory Board and are appointed for 3-year terms by the president of CSWE.
