2020 Election Openings

CSWE is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to serve on its Board of Directors and National Nominating Committee. Our governing bodies are instrumental to supporting the work of CSWE through their contributions to governance and operational project areas. Service on a governing body provides opportunities for networking and expansion of leadership skills while contributing to our mission to ensure and enhance the quality of social work education. 

There are four vacancies on the Board of Directors:

  • graduate program representative
  • graduate faculty representative
  • undergraduate program representative
  • undergraduate faculty representative

The Board of Directors oversees and must approve all CSWE programs, plans, and budgets and is responsible for the activities and accountability of all governance and program units and commissions. Board members are expected to attend meetings at the Annual Program Meeting (APM) and Spring Governance and participate in a conference call in early June. Additional conference calls may be scheduled as needed.

There are five vacancies on the National Nominating Committee:

  • graduate program representatives (2 positions)
  • undergraduate program representative
  • undergraduate faculty representatives (2 positions)

The National Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating and preparing slates for CSWE’s Board of Directors and the National Nominating Committee. Candidates must be able to attend the National Nominating Committee meeting at the APM and participate in a conference call in November or December. Additional conference calls may be scheduled as needed.

Nominations are due by 11:59 PM EST on Monday, November 4, 2019; however, sending nominations prior to the 2019 APM (October 24, 2019) is strongly encouraged.
