2022 Election Openings

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to serve on its Board of Directors and National Nominating Committee. Our governing bodies support the work of CSWE through their contributions to fiduciary oversight, strategic planning, and generative thinking. Service on a governing body provides opportunities for networking and expansion of leadership skills while contributing to our mission to ensure and enhance the quality of social work education.

There are three vacancies on the Board of Directors:

  • graduate program representative
  • undergraduate program representative
  • treasurer

The Board of Directors oversees and must approve all CSWE programs, plans, and budgets. Board members are expected to attend meetings at the Annual Program Meeting (APM) and Spring Governance and participate in a conference call/video meeting in early June. Additional conference calls/video meetings may be scheduled as needed.

There is one vacancy on the National Nominating Committee:

The National Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating and preparing slates for CSWE’s Board of Directors and the National Nominating Committee. Candidates must be able to attend the National Nominating Committee meeting connected to  APM and participate in conference calls/video meetings in November or December. Additional conference calls/video meetings may be scheduled as needed.
