National Association of Social Workers (NASW)
NASW, with 132,000 members in 55 chapters, is the largest professional association of social workers in the United States. The association works to promote professional development, establish professional standards of social work practice and advance sound social policies. The NASW website also features a section on aging that contains practice-related tools and resources.

Social Work Leadership Institute (SWLI)
The Social Work Leadership Institute (SWLI) at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College is working to train and grow the national workforce of social workers who specialize in aging, and to improve long-term, community-based care for older adults through policy advocacy, education and training, leadership development, and research.
