New Katherine A. Kendall Institute Grantees

The Katherine A. Kendall Institute for International Social Work Education is pleased to announce the recipients of its first Katherine A. Kendall grant. The Institute received a tremendous response to its call for proposals and was impressed by the large number of high-quality proposals. The top three grantees were selected based on their innovative projects that address a variety of important issues in international social work education. The first group of Katherine A. Kendall grantees are

  • Bowie State University – Expanding Global Learning Opportunities for Diverse and Underserved Students
  • University of Maryland – Environmental Social Work Practice: A Global Perspective
  • University of Portland – Preparing Social Workers for Globally Informed Practice: International Curriculum Enhancement and Community Outreach at the University of Portland

Each program will receive a $10,000 grant to complete its project. Resources developed from these projects will be available on the Katherine A. Kendall Institute website once they are completed.
