Laura Escobar-Ratliff

Laura Escobar-Ratliff is a student in the doctoral program in social work at St. Catherine University-University of St. Thomas. She completed a BA degree at Transylvania University and an MSW degree at Spalding University. Ms. Escobar-Ratliff is currently a Division Director of Adult Specialty Programs at Centerstone of Kentucky. Programs under her direction include Assertive Community Treatment teams, Criminal Justice teams, and Homeless Outreach. Additionally, Ms. Escobar-Ratliff teaches part-time at Western Kentucky University in the MSW and BSW programs. She has taught practice, policy, and theory courses. Ms. Escobar-Ratliff’s areas of behavioral health research/services interest are program evaluation, program development, self-care in human services, online learning, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. After doctoral degree completion she is interested in continuing to teach in a social work program and evaluating evidenced-based practices such as assertive community treatment and motivational interviewing, for efficacy in working with racial and ethnic minorities. Ms. Escobar-Ratliff is licensed in the state of Kentucky as a CSW.
