Shar Steed is the Communications and Membership Manager at CSWE. She has led communications and marketing initiatives at non-profit associations for more than 13 years. Shar joins CSWE from Computing Research Association, where she spearheaded an organizational rebranding initiative, managed a comprehensive website redesign, and launched several new publications. Previously at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, she managed integrated marketing campaigns to enhance national awareness of the Science & Technology Policy Fellowships program. Shar earned a BA in public relations from the University of South Carolina and an MA in integrated marketing and management communication from Florida State University.She is from Charleston, SC and enjoys hiking, biking and international travel.
