Research and Program Evaluation


This Track will be overseen by the chairs of Evidence-Based Practice.

This Track focuses primarily on program and practice evaluation, including social work education for evaluation. It aims to promote the furtherance of evaluation by addressing (1) innovative evaluation methods, designs, and models; (2) social work roles in program or practice evaluation; (3) controversial or ethical dilemmas inherent in evaluation, including diversity issues; (4) teaching evaluation practice in schools of social work; (5) uses of technology in evaluation; (6) building community capacity for evaluation by teaching community-based agencies; and (7) the uses and consequences of evaluation in social work.
