CSWE accreditation trainings are designed to meet baccalaureate, master's, and practice doctorate social work programs at each phase of their accreditation journey – from exploration through continuous compliance.
Join your accreditation staff through hybrid trainings, topical webinar sessions, and conference presentations. These trainings prepare programs to navigate the accreditation process from application through initial accreditation as well as continuous compliance and reaffirmation. Baccalaureate & Master's Programs
These trainings prepare your program to navigate accreditation and maintain continuous compliance under the 2022 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS).

Hybrid Training
The CSWE accreditation team offers hybrid training. Our hybrid training course model consists of two components:
- Self-paced online learning modules
- Live virtual Q&A sessions
Select the training that best aligns with your program's current CSWE accreditation status:
- New Applicant Training: for institutions interested in accrediting a baccalaureate or master's social work program, before being granted pre-candidacy status
- Pre-Candidacy & Candidacy Training: for baccalaureate or master's social work programs that have been approved by the Accreditation Services Manager and have been granted pre-candidacy or candidacy status (pre-candidacy or candidacy status as displayed on the Program Directory)
- Reaffirmation Training: for accredited baccalaureate and master's programs (accredited status as displayed on the Program Directory)

Practice Doctorate Programs
These trainings prepare your program to navigate accreditation and maintain continuous compliance under the 2025 Accreditation Standards for Practice Doctorate Social Work Programs.
Practice doctorate programs can seek accreditation via two distinct pathways:
- Temporary Alternative Pathway (TAP): one-year initial accreditation process for existing practice doctorate programs that meet eligibility requirements
- Traditional Pathway: three-year developmental model for programs that are not eligible for, or choose not to pursue, the Temporary Alternative Pathway

Hybrid Training
The CSWE accreditation team offers a distinct hybrid training for each pathway. Our hybrid training course model consists of two components:
- Self-paced online learning modules
- Live virtual Q&A sessions
Select the training that aligns with your program's accreditation pathway:
- 2025 Accreditation Standards Practice Doctorate Training for the Traditional Pathway: this training is tailored for practice doctorate social work programs pursuing the Traditional Pathway to initial accreditation. This training also prepares accredited programs for continuous compliance.
- 2025 AS Practice Doctorate Training for Temporary Alternative Pathway: this training is tailored for practice doctorate social work programs eligible to pursue the Temporary Alternative Pathway (TAP) to initial accreditation.
- Review the Temporary Alternative Pathway Application to determine eligibility. Please note: All programs pursuing the Temporary Alternative Pathway are required to complete training prior to applying.
