In September 2026, CSWE announced the creation of a new national advisory board with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging and potentially disruptive technologies.
The Advisory Board on AI and Technology was created as part of CSWE’s broader 2026-2030 Strategic Plan. The board’s charge is to help identify experts on, and elevate use cases for, AI in social work education, and to position CSWE as a leader on matters related to the overlap of emerging technologies and social work. Information and resources sourced by the advisory board will help CSWE’s members stay abreast of the impact of AI and other technologies, as well as facilitate trainings and other educational opportunities.
