We are delighted to welcome you to the new online home of the Council on Social Work Education. This website, which has been in development for much of the past year, was built to serve social work educators, students, and prospective students. It is also an effort to correct issues that have bedeviled our members these past few years—poor wayfinding and search functionality, lack of mobile accessibility, a bookstore that's hard to navigate, and more.
Below, learn more about what's new, where to find specific resources, and how to get in touch with us to report bugs, broken links, or anything else you need assistance with.
What's new?
In a word, everything. Designed by the talented team at ThinkShout, this website is a completely new build from scratch. Here are some features you'll notice straight away:
A refreshed look-and-feel: Believe it or not, CSWE has more brand colors than just blue. Greens and purples pop across the new site. You'll also notice new fonts, photos, and interactive graphics throughout. Displays are cleaner, menus simpler, and buttons are more accessible.
More intuitive navigation: We've organized menus and navigation in a way that (hopefully) makes resources and information easier to find. And we've tried to name things using the least possible amount of CSWE-specific jargon.
Mobile-friendly interface: Website visitors will lose no functionality moving from desktop to smartphone. Menus follow along as you scroll, buttons stack vertically, text is easier to read, and pages load faster.
Improved search functionality: It's a lot easier to search for things on this iteration of CSWE.org. Upgrades include more precise content tagging, autocomplete and search suggestions, corrections for misspellings, and more. Be sure to check it out!
A new CSWE Bookstore: The CSWE Bookstore is now powered by Shopify, which means a much smoother and more intuitive on-page and checkout experience. As always, CSWE members receive a 10 percent discount on all purchases. Members can access their special discount code here.
New member portal: CSWE members have exclusive access to resources available in our new member portal. Additionally, specific articles and pages are only accessible once you login—including our refreshed member directory (which is much easier to navigate).
