Director of Grants and Special Projects
Heather Donahue, MSW, is the Director of Grants and Special Projects at the Council on Social Work Education in Alexandria, VA. Previously, she served as the CoC Planning and Grants Manager at ACDS, overseeing a comprehensive portfolio of community development, housing, homelessness, and COVID-19 recovery grant funds totaling $15 million. She spearheaded the local strategic homeless planning and served as a Board Member of the Anne Arundel and Annapolis Coalition to End Homelessness. In response to COVID-19, she co-developed a local Eviction Prevention Program funded through CARES Act and ERAP funds that provided over 1,000 rental assistance payments to families facing eviction. Ms. Donahue received her MSW from Columbia University.
