Joann Brown-Thompson serves as CSWE's Membership Manager. In this role, she is instrumental in overseeing all facets of membership outreach, acquisition, retention, and relationship development. Joann joined CSWE in April 2025.With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Joann offers specialized administrative support across various areas of membership administration, customer service, and event coordination. Her career is distinguished by her consistent delivery of exceptional membership and program support, always placing the needs of clients and colleagues at the forefront. Joann’s passion for service and her meticulous attention to detail have established her as a reliable and trusted resource within every organization she supports.

In her free time, Joann is dedicated to volunteering and participating in community service initiatives through her affiliation with the Order of the Eastern Star and her church. Additionally, she pursues interests in reading, writing, occasional baking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
