The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Katie Gibson-Ledl, BSW, LMSW-Macro

Director of Accreditation Services

Kat_Gibson-Ledl.jpgKatie "Kat" Gibson-Ledl is a strengths-based people-first leader who believes in the transformative power of learning and storytelling. In her role at the Council for Social Work Education (CSWE), Kat partners with 5 accreditation specialists to design and deliver innovative accreditation services to more than 900 social work education programs across the United States and its territories. Kat also directs training, resource development, policy, and communication efforts in collaboration with the Commission on Accreditation (COA). Her work with the accreditation services team also includes educating the public on accreditation through engagement with students, alumni, employers, licensing boards, and other stakeholders.

Since 2017, Kat has contributed to CSWE’s mission by developing the inaugural 2015 EPAS Interpretation Guide and Self-Study Template, leading the Student Initiatives Taskforce in their effort to create seats for students on the CSWE board of directors, and building positive rapport with members through high-quality consultations and trainings as a subject matter expert.

Kat is a licensed macro social worker and creative. Her background and future pursuits are at the intersection of higher education and the social work profession. Her passions include whole wellness, reading, and volunteerism. Originally from the Metro-Detroit area, Kat currently lives in Michigan with her partner (a fellow social worker) and two cats.
