Council on Global Learning and Practice

The Council on Global Learning and Practice is a council of the Commission on Global Social Work Education. The council's charge includes the following:

  • To develop opportunities and resources to promote cultural humility and advance global issues in course content using various approaches, including teaching modules, experiential learning opportunities, and publications;
  • To develop and promote global experiential learning opportunities from a post-colonial and anti-racist perspective for both faculty and students, that include learning and reciprocal exchange on global issues in social work practice and research;
  • To develop and promote guidelines for international field placement and learning experiences that support anti-oppressive practices.
