Michael E. Leff, JD, MSW, is an Accreditation Specialist with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). As an Accreditation Specialist, he provides education, resources, and consultation regarding accreditation standards, policies, and procedures to accredited social work programs and programs in candidacy. Michael also serves as staff liaison to both the Commission on Accreditation (COA) Policy Committee and the Council on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity & Expression (CSOGIE). Michael believes in developing positive relationships with stakeholders built on trust and mutual respect.
Michael earned his Master of Social Work from The State University of New York at Buffalo and his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. He previously worked in the field of human services, working with the intellectually disabled population both as a case worker and as a manager of a group home. He transitioned into his current role at CSWE in September of 2020 after several years as a practicing attorney.
Michael was born and raised in the Buffalo New York suburbs, where he currently resides, and is an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He is a trained pianist and vocalist and enjoys karaoke.
