In conjunction with the CSWE Leadership Scholars in Social Work Education Program (LSSEP) initiative, CSWE holds a networking reception during each Annual Program Meeting to support, encourage, and honor new leadership in the profession. Goals include the following:
- To encourage MSW students and social work educators with the MSW as their terminal degree to pursue doctoral social work education
- To highlight the work of the LSSEP scholars who would be asked (or expected) to participate, and share their experiences and academic work as scholars in the program
