Opioid Response Network

In response to the nation’s opioid crisis, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration awarded a 2-year grant to provide technical assistance to states and territories to the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry with a coalition of 27 national professional organizations, forming the Opioid Response Network (ORN). ORN provides training and technical assistance via local experts across the country, focusing on applying evidence-based practices in prevention, treatment, and recovery to meet locally identified needs. Visit the ORN website for more information.

Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS)

PCSS is a program funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and was created in response to the opioid overdose epidemic to train primary care providers in the evidence-based prevention and treatment of opioid use disorders and treatment of chronic pain. Visit the PCSS website for more information.

Through generous funding from the American Academy of Addicition Psychiatry (AAAP) as part of PCSS, CSWE is offering a series of webinars about social work and substance use. The first webinar series is available on-demand on the CSWE Learning Academy! It covers the current state of practice and implications for classroom and field education. The presenters of this webinar are members of the national task force responsible for helping to create the Specialized Practice Curricular Guide for Substance Use Social Work Practice.
