In June 2025, CSWE convened a national conversation on academic freedom and its challenges and strategies for social work education. The virtual conversation brought together faculty, thought leaders, and advocates from across the country for a timely dialogue on the evolving threats to academic freedom, and the strategies that to respond with clarity, courage, and purpose.
