Air Travel

Denver International Airport, (DEN) is 14 miles from the Sheraton Denver Downtown. Customers can choose from 23 airlines, which are listed at the website link above.

Taxi Alert!

Taxi fare from the Denver International Airport to the Sheraton Denver Downtown is a flat fare of $56; from the hotel to the airport the fare is $51. There are known cases of taxis overcharging out of town arrivals, please confirm with your airport transportation that the fare will be $56. Make sure you get a receipt and record the cab number and company name in the case of any disputes.

Denver Public/ShuttleTransportation

The RTD University of Colorado A Line Train travels to and from the airport every 15 minutes throughout the day and costs $10.50 in each direction. The train is accessed from Level 1 of the Denver Airport airport transit center and arrives at Union Station (1.5 miles from the Sheraton Denver Downtown). Schedules and information are found here.

Denver Restaurants and Attractions

The Sheraton Denver Downtown's two restaurants are The Yardhouse, with a wide selection of American favorites and draft beer, and La Hacienda Colorado, offering Mexican standards and a variety of custom margaritas. Restaurants within blocks of the hotel include Zoup! - soups on, Delectable Egg - home of the Denver omelet, 16 mix - innovative cocktails and American cuisine, and the recognizable chains Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Starbucks, Noodles & Company - and many others.

Near the Sheraton Denver Downtown is the 16th Street Mall; there is a free shuttle bus that runs the length of the mall. This area is home to some of the most popular places to visit in Denver, like Union Station and the LoDo Historic District.

The Colorado State Capitol can be reached in minutes on foot from all the APM hotels and free tours are available on weekdays. A climb to the rotunda shows a panorama of the snowcapped peaks surrounding the city.

The Denver Art Museum is made up of two architecturally stunning buildings – one a fortress-like structure from Italian architect Gio Ponti, the other, a structure that resembles a titanium crystal with peaks and shards designed by Daniel Libeskind. Inside, find the world's greatest collection of Native American art and 68,000 other art objects, including works from European masters, Old West classics and phenomenal traveling exhibits.
