The Annual Program Meeting (APM) is the preeminent annual meeting for social work educators, students, deans, and directors worldwide. Each year the APM brings together more than 2,500 individual members as well as the largest gathering of graduate and undergraduate programs of professional social work education.

Registration materials will be distributed on site at the Registration Desk. Please bring your registration confirmation to receive your registration materials. Print or electronic confirmations will be accepted on site, or you may enter your name into a registration terminal to pull up your registration details. The Registration Desk will be located on the second floor (Ballroom Level) of the Hilton Anaheim. Please note that registration materials will not be mailed to attendees in advance.
After you register, you can view and print your confirmation, log in to your registration portal to make changes, print receipts and/or confirmations, and create your itinerary. You will not receive a receipt on site.
The student registration categories are as follows:
Students must submit verification (see sample letters for one student or multiple students) from their program directors to [email protected] and [email protected] with documentation of their enrollment status (degree level) and projected graduation date for that degree level; and confirmation that the student does not hold a full-time professional position, including any academic appointment.
Yes. All presenters are required to register to present their abstracts and research.
Registrants must submit registration cancellations via e-mail by October 27, 2022. No requests for refunds will be honored if they are e-mailed after this date. Registrants who do not cancel by October 27, 2022, and fail to attend the APM will be charged the full registration fee. Please note that November 10 and 13 Institute session fees are nonrefundable. Refunds will be less a $75 administrative fee and must specify the payee. They will be based on the original form of payment and processed within 30 days after the completion of the meeting. Refunds will not be processed after December 1, 2022.

If you would like to request an invitation letter from CSWE for a visa application, you must first register and pay in full for the meeting. To obtain a visa invitation letter, provide your registration confirmation number and e-mail us the request. International travelers are encouraged to apply for their visas as early as possible. The International Visitors Office (IVO) of The National Academies recommends applying at least three to four months before the meeting, as consulates may have backlogs in scheduling visa interviews. Applicants should first consult the U.S. Department of State’s visa appointment and processing wait times website. All education sessions, plenaries, and events will be held at the Hilton Anaheim from Thursday, November 10, through Sunday, November 13, 2022.

The 2022 APM will provide a multitude of educational offerings. APM presentations are organized by tracks, allowing meeting participants to quickly locate and gauge their interest in specific sessions. You can find a list of the 2022 APM tracks here.
Proposals are assigned to tracks by their submitters. Each track is led by two volunteer chairs, who review scores and comments submitted by proposal reviewers and provide recommendations regarding acceptance to the Council on Conferences and Faculty Development. Track chairs and co-chairs may help answer questions related to the tracks' subject areas.
CSWE will provide support services on request. Please request accessibility services or accommodations for people who experience disabilities at the time of registration and/or 4 weeks in advance to maximize our efforts. Contact information for accessibility services is forthcoming.
Please inquire about childcare services with the concierge at your selected hotel. Be certain to make arrangements prior to your arrival in Anaheim.

There will be seating marked “Reserved for Accessible Seating” at all plenaries. All events and receptions will have seating available for those who are unable to stand for long periods of time.
All plenary events will have interpreting services and will have front-row seating reserved for those with mobility, visual, or interpreting needs.
The Hilton Anaheim is the host hotel for the educational sessions, exhibits, and networking opportunities. The Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort is a 7 minute walk to the Hilton Anaheim. No meals are included with conference registration. However, food and beverage served at the networking, opening, and closing receptions are complimentary with conference registration.

What are the student registration categories (member, nonmember, and volunteer)?

- Associate member, student (undergraduate/graduate, or doctoral): Full-time or part-time students who are not CSWE full members (Category 1 under individual members).
- Nonmember, student (undergraduate/graduate, or doctoral): Full-time or part-time students who are not CSWE members.
- Student volunteer: Students can volunteer for 4-hour consecutive shifts, Thursday through Sunday, November 10–13, 2022, during daytime hours. There are no evening volunteer hours. Student volunteers pay only $40 for a full conference registration. Students must provide their arrival and departure dates/times.
